Last week was super crazy busy with work, and I didn’t even get to post once! It was a weird feeling, but it was for the best because I wouldn’t have been able to get everything done that I needed to if I had. After the craziness of the week, I definitely just needed a little quiet me time. I’ve been keeping a list of books I’ve been wanting to read for quite some time, and on Saturday I took the plunge and went to the used bookstore by my house. They ended up having about 6 that were on my list, and I happened to find an awesome dress form in their antiques section! For about $40 I left there with a bag full of books and a dress form under my arm. It was like walking out of a gold mine.
For the rest of the weekend I bundled up, wandered downtown, did a bit of Christmas shopping, enjoyed a massive poutine, caught up on sleep and read lots! Although it feels like the weekend was too short, it was so nice to just take a little time to myself.

My weekend was packed with Christmas parties, visits withextended family, and shopping – I would LOVE to have a weekend for reading! Seriously, the stack of books on my nightstand is ridiculous …

I really liked ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ but I haven’t read the second book yet. I hope you like it! Also, your weekend sounds awesome – we all need ones like that sometimes.
